Why is containment of mold so important during the removal/mitigation process? 

There are many different types of mold. Most are not harmful to the human body however some types of mold can be very toxic. The toxins within the mold are called mycotoxins. There are various factors, for each individual, as to how much exposure is considered safe. Finding and removing or encapsulating these mold spores before they continue to grow or spread is critical; especially if children, elderly or persons with a critical/immune illness inhabits the area where mold was found.
