Residual Effects of Hurricane Ida
9/5/2021 (Permalink)
Considering the effects Hurricane Ida had down in Louisiana, expectations of her strength were not expected to reach the north east. However, the weather we had on the week before Labor Day proved just how mighty this hurricane was.
As she ripped through the Gulf of Mexico and affected our friends down south, she also made sure to save us some disastrous rains and flooding on Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Due to the force of her winds and heavy rains, multiple governors declared a State of Emergency and locked down public transportation. Thousands of travelers were left stranded as airports cancelled flights and locked down the whole of the north east.
Homeowners and property managers awoke on Thursday to flooded basements, damaged facilities, and knee deep water in various parts of Massachusetts.
As a result of Ida's effect on our area, our team has been working around the clock to attend to our customers as quickly as possible. We are working to quickly dispatch crews for water extraction, mitigation, and reconstruction.
If your home or office has been affected by water damage due to hurricane Ida, call our office for our water damage restoration services.
